Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration, but if times are tough it can be especially challenging and isolating.
This year St John's Care, Uniting Care Kippax and Canberra City Care are working together to make sure they can help as many people as possible during the Christmas season.
People experiencing financial hardship or need assistance can receive a hamper from one of these three organisations. They need to provide a Health Care or Centrelink card that shows the members of their household to receive a hamper.
The registration list is a shared document. Registrations for all three organisations open on Tuesday 26 November and hamper collections are between Monday 9 December and Thursday 19 December.
Christmas Hampers are only made possible through the generosity of our many supporters: community and church groups, businesses and individuals.
