A busy but beautiful time of year

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our volunteers and supporters without whom we could not operate. We have been rushed off our feet and while I strongly believe this is a beautiful time of year, it can also be very challenging for some people.
The Christmas Present Room supported over 500 families this year and have given out over 2000 toys to children. Many families were extremely grateful for this support. This could not have been possible without the on-going generosity of our volunteers, donors, supporters and volunteers from the Department of Jobs and Small Business.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed toys, books and gift cards. Your generosity is amazing and humbling.
We would like to also acknowledge all those who donated financially and with goods in kind for our Christmas Hampers. We have given out approximately 550 of these.
Our Emergency Relief Centre will be open until 2pm on Monday 24 December and then re-open on Wednesday 2 January 2019.
A reminder that our lunch on Christmas Day is from 12 noon until 1.30 pm in St John’s Hall. All welcome.
I would like to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.
Wish list: 500ml or 1 litre long-life milk, cooking or olive oil, honey and tea bags.
